Lauren Conrad: Style

I have never been a fan of Laguna Beach/The Hills t.v. series but this book caught my eye while i was shopping at Target (on sale %30 off). 

 It is a easy read with chapters on: how to pack for travel, organize/slim down your closet/ hair&makeup/ building personal style, etc.

One of the biggest tips I got from the book is the importance of tailoring and caring for your shoes correctly. Overall it is a great book for anyone new or experienced in fashion/beauty.

i love this paragraph in the chapter MASTERING YOUR CLOSET...

"displaying your clothes: your clothes don't have to be confined to your closet. i keep my favorite shoes lined up on a long dresser along one wall and have a rolling rack of garments all in a similar color scheme displayed in the corner of my room. beautiful clothes are meant to be see, so why not show them off?" -pg 66

OPI's "Makes Men Blush"

I don't wear a variety of a lot of colors but this is my favorite nude color I always come back to. It is a light cream with some pink iridescent reflect.  My bottle is half empty so i've been searching for a new one... NO LUCK, yet! But it's a beautiful color and works well with many different skin tones.

I choose the (non fictional) character to be the main STYLE STAR this month because Sex and the City is what started her fashion iconic career. 

Sex and the City introduced me to higher fashion and creativity. I know every episode & movie from the beginning to end! Seriously lol. I am a TRUE fan.

Carrie wears high fashion mixed with vintage... it looks beautiful and re-inventful. She has many signature fashion looks thanks to the set's main fashion stylist Patricia Fields

Happy Two Thousand Eleven!

I have a lot to be thankful for this year: Getting married, spending time with my family and friends, and even starting my blog as a new hobby.

This year my NY's resolutions are simple... Being Positive and Open Minded!

Mig and I spent New Years in Seattle... he was brought out to help kick off the new year at club Volume in downtown. I have always wanted to see seattle so what better time than to spend NY's there with him. 

I definitely want to visit again in the summer, but I don't recommend going in the winter... its COLD (colder than utah with snow!)
