The start of a Labor Day weekend!! No work for three days. YESSSS TO... sleeping in, dressing up (since during the work week i wear a uniform), eating, and shopping because you MUST take advantage of all the sales!!!!!

DRESSED UP, OUTDOORS

My brother-in-law got married at a ranch in Utah last weekend! The mountains and scenery were breathtaking. Perfect whether and freshhhhh air. A nice change from Vegas, ahhhhhh...
I think from all the traveling and change in temperature, I caught a stupid cold. I havent left my house without a cold survival kit: Puffs tissues with a touch a lotion, congestion/headache advil, airborn, and water! Hopefully its gone soon because im heading to LA for the holiday weekend :)

I am visiting family in Utah for a long weekend! I hate to neglect my blog while im on vacation since ive been so good at posting regularly. BUT, i will have a future post on the items i bought from Lush and H&M :)

My last post was white on white, so i decided to do a black on black theme. Black is classic, professional, timeless, versatile, dressy, casual, blah blah blah, etc. etc., you get the point.!. When in doubt, WEAR BLACK!!

RETAIL THERAPY

I get in the happiest mood when i go shopping... it's instant gratification.
The jean shorts are from Topshop. Man, it's expensive there! But they have very, VERY cute things. Because i splurged on the shorts i made up for it by purchasing the boots i had been looking for less than $30.00 at F21. They're comfortable too. The gold link bracelet is also from F21. Lastly, i ordered the gold YSL knockoff ring and skull bracelet from Dulcecandyxo's online shop. LOVE the bling bling skull bracelet!!!!
A few thoughts about my Dulce Candy order: Shipping was fast! Packaging was low budget ebay quality. I was Surprised! The most disappointing thing was that i had ordered a size 7 ring (which is my size in F21 and H&M jewelry) and it doesnt fit any of my fingers AND she has a no return policy. Damnit!

Yesterday i went to mall hoping to buy the white blazer from Zara i had been thinking about, NON-STOP. It wasnt there! So, instead i opted for the boots that were also on my wish list! They were a steal for about $30.00 at Forever 21. Where else?!? I also purchased a pair of high waisted/studded shorts from Top Shop. They were pricy so im still debating if i want to keep them. Anyway, this outfit is kinda fun... doesnt leave much to the imagination :)

Im still daydreaming of fall. I want to be wearing my blazers, scarfs and boots already!!! im DYING to start styling fall "From My Closet" looks!!! So my top THREE things im lusting for are: 

1. White Blazer. Ill be making a trip over to Zara to purchase one ive been looking at.

2. Black medium sized shoulder bag. still looking for the perfect one.

3.  Low-Heeled booties. OMG these look so cute with shorts and dresses.

MY CUP OF JOE

I have a morning ritual: Wake up extra early, sip my freshly brewed coffee, and blog/read up on other blogs i follow. Do you know how much money you save just by making your own everyday?!... me either! But im guessing it's got to be in the $90 range if you drink at least a cup a day like i do. Plus its all ORGANIC!!!!

FROM MY CLOSET- WATER LOUNGING

Isn't this outfit so cute to lounge by the beach? Or in my case by the pool!! I wanted to post this summer swimsuit outfit before it starts getting cooler... (not talking about Vegas, it's still 115 degrees here!) I love that nothing matches but at the same time is all does :) I dont like wearing matching swimsuit pieces so i buy all my tops/bottom at different times and put them together later.

I use to be the lipgloss type, but LIPSTICKS have grown on me this past year. I can't get enough of orange or red-orange colors! I think that color suits my skin tone better than pinks. My Favorite of the ones listed below is surprisingly Wet N' Wilds Perty Persimmon for a whomping $1.99 at Walgreens!!! Crazy hu? It's matte, color lasts forever, and VERY pigmented. So good I need to get backups just in case. All i can say is that Wet N Wild has stepped up their game.

INSPIRED AND HAPPY

Most of my earliest memories I have are "what am I going to wear?" -i was five years old. Haha. SERIOUSLY!! I blame it on my older sister. I use to watch her get ready for school/work and think "I can't wait to get older so I can fit in her clothes". She's always had a great sense of style (I'd like to think that's where I get mine from). Now, we live about 600 miles away from each other so I STILL can't wear her things :)
I love to be inspired! Whether im Reading other peoples blogs or blogging myself, it makes me feel HAPPY! Taking photos and writing about my latest shopping finds is therapeutic for me. And... hopefully you enjoy the work I do put into this "hobby" as much as I LOVE doing it.

The colors are so vibrant in this outfit, it's everything SUMMER! I'm not the best at putting accessories together all the time so whenever I can add a fedora to the outfit, I do. Most of the time my hair is in a sleek ponytail or I'm wearing a hat. I've never been one to do much to my hair. BUT back to the outfit... As the seasons change you can switch out the shorts for some skinny jeans. Does it show how much I'm excited for the fall?!
